In the Portuguese Language Course At Friendly International Language Center a placement test is administered to all incoming students to determine the level of the language he is going to study. The student is expected to answer as much as he can. Afterwards the Coordinator of Admissions and Student Services assesses scores and places students in their appropriate class levels.

The programs are taught at a quick and exciting pace by a team of teachers who coordinate their lesson plans by separating listening, speaking, reading and writing skills into 4 or more lessons daily. An exit exam is administered to all students to determine their progress.

Those who attend at least 80% of their classes are awarded a Certificate of achievement. Included in the Program: How to express ideas and communicate; everyday situations, cultural facts about the places where the language is spoken, social activities, etc...

Length of the program:

BASIC: 40 HOURS

INTERMEDIATE: 40 HOURS

ADVANCED: 40 HOURS

IMPROVEMENT: 40 HOURS

Classes from Monday through Friday, during the school hours (08:00AM – 9:00PM)

* The student needs a minimum of 90 minutes of class daily (1h30)
